Section 12-1-2 Definitions

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this Chapter, have the meanings ascribed to them in this Section.
A. "Commercial Vehicle" means a vehicle or combination of vehicles used to transport passengers or property if the vehicle:
1. Has a gross vehicle weight trating of 10,000 pounds or more; or
2. Transports passengers for hire and has a design capacity of seven or more passengers.
B. "Vehicle" means every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a street, including devices used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks, except for a device propelled solely by human power. (17-02, Added, 06/01/2017)
